A Laptop 13 Pro Will Run You $1,500 To Nearly $3,000; Thanks 2026
Framework have come up with an almost totally new design for the Laptop 13 Pro, with a new shell that is mostly compatible with older modules but not 100%. The new design has a new bottom which doesn’t work with the original Laptop 13, and both the keyboard and trackpad are unique to the Laptop 13 Pro. Those components changing makes some sense but unfortunately the original 55 WHr and 61 WHr battery designs also won’t work which is a little more of a disappointment for those looking for a new Framework laptop. Then again, the new battery offers 74 WHr which is a nice boost.
Ars Technica was told the Laptop 13 Pro is a “MacBook Pro for Linux users,” and with the anodized dark gray “graphite” finish on the aluminium shell it does indeed bear a resemblance to one of Apple’s designs. Inside you can find LPDDR5X installed with a LPCAMM2 form factor, and either a Core Ultra Series 3 or Ryzen AI 300. Check out the rest of the details at Ars.
