Speakers do die, as cones become stiff, connectors loosen, felines using them as scratching posts while you sleep or thanks to an excited canine’s tail. When that happens and you find yourself shopping for replacements you might consider Edifier to provide your next set of speakers and they have just released their new R2750DB MKII powered bookshelf speakers. They are proper three‑way active speakers with 7″ woofers, 4.5″ mids and 1‑inch silk‑dome tweeters. The DSP can handle 24-bit/96kHz over line-in, optical, coax or HDMI eARC, not to mention Bluetooth 6.0 with LDAC.
There are manual controls on the speakers as well as a remote control if you prefer not to load the Connex app on your phone, though NikKTech does suggest you at least give it a try. The R2750DB MKII aren’t the absolute best but are a solid choice at their $500 MSRP and there are louder models of the same size available but overall Edifier offers another solid product.
