Nintendo Direct: Here’s everything announced during Nintendo’s presentation

The latest Nintendo Direct presentation has now ended, and as ever it was a packed one.

During the 45-minute showcase, Nintendo revealed new games, revealed release dates for previously known ones and announced updates for titles that are already out.

A number of new third-party games and Switch 2 ports of existing games were also announced.

Here’s everything that was announced today, in the order it was revealed.


Nintendo Direct September 2026 – All the News

Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to Switch 2 on December 4.

Nintendo reminded us that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is coming on April 8, with a new trailer showing Switch 2 gameplay.

A Switch 2 version of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion was shadow dropped, and is available today.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition is coming to Switch 2 on February 25, 2027. The enhanced version of the Switch game includes improved visuals and frame rate, more enemies on-screen and all the content from the Age of Calamity Expansion Pass.

Players with the original Switch version can get a discount on the digital Switch 2 release, and can also transfer their existing save data.

Drawing-based hide and seek game Meccha Chameleon is available on Switch 2 today.

A new trailer for Part 2 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC was shown. It’s releasing later this year.

Star Fox is getting a free update on September 29. It adds split-screen multiplayer in Battle Mode, as well as three new Battle Mode stages, and the ability to play online with four players on one Switch 2.

Star Fox Adventures is coming to Switch 2’s library of GameCube games today, bringing the total number of GameCube games on the system to 11.

A trailer for the The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered running on Switch 2 was shown. It’s set for release on September 29.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Royal Edition is coming to Switch 2 in 2027.

It will include the base game, all premium story expansions, exclusive gear and a bonus questline.

A new trailer for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave was shown, along with a reminder that it’s out on Switch 2 next week, on September 17.

Professor Layton and the New World of Steam finally got a release date.

Level-5 had previously promised it was coming out in 2026, and it appears to have stuck to that promise, with a December 10 release planned.

Yokai Watch 2: Haunted Domain is coming to Switch 2, though Level-5 warned that it may take a while.

“Join Nate as he befriends a wide variety of Yo-kai and embarks on the mysterious adventures that define the Yo-kai Watch series,” its description reads. “Perhaps some new Yo-kai will make an appearance too.”

Pikmin 4 is getting a Switch 2 edition, the full title of which will be Pikmin 4: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy, on November 12.

As well as improved visuals, it gives players exams every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in which players have to collect treasure as quickly as possible.

Bloober Team has announced Onyx: The Dark Grip, a Switch 2 exclusive coming in 2027.

“Survive as a vessel, intervene as a god,” the game’s description reads. “You play as the mysterious Entity, guiding the actions of a lone traveller who has arrived in the desolate ghost town. Use your powers to manipulate the environment and prevent your puppet from descending into the depths of madness.”

A new trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Switch 2 Edition was shown, reminding players of its December 3 release date.

New gameplay was shown from Stage Fright, the next game from the creators of Overcooked. It’s coming in 2027.

Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s next paid DLC expansion is called The Keepsake Sea, and will let players turn into mermaids. It’s out in November 2026.

Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale is a 3D adventure platformer based around music-based puzzles. It’s coming to Switch 2 in 2027.

A trailer for the Switch 2 version of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight was shown. It’s coming on September 18.

Kirby Air Riders is getting its final two amiibo, Sword Kirby and Noir Dedede, on November 12.

A trailer for the Switch 2 version of Cairn was shown. The game will be released in early 2027.

Switch 2 versions of the Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 remakes are all releasing digitally on October 16.

Footage of the Switch 2 version of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was shown. It’s releasing on February 12.

More gameplay footage was shown from Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, which is coming on October 22.

The footage shows how players can explore Wuhu Island, searching for hidden items and collecting Spocco Photos.

Nintendo announced Metroid Ravenous, a brand new side-scrolling Metroid adventure in which Samus appears to have to feed on her enemies to stay alive.

It’ll be released on January 28 alongside three amiibo, though it appears that one of them may only be available in a Deluxe Edition of the physical game.

Mario Kart World gets a new free update today. 10 classic tracks from the SNES game are now available in VS Race mode, and two new Knockout Tours have been added.

Proto Man was announced as a playable character in Mega Man: Dual Override, which is coming in Spring 2027.

Mega Man and Proto Man amiibo figures will also be available on the same day.

Eternal Anima is a time-travelling JRPG adventure coming to Switch 2 on March 4, 2027, courtesy of Marvelous.

Danganronpa 2×2, the latest entry in the Danganronpa series, is coming to Switch and Switch 2 on January 14, 2027.

The game contains a visually enhanced version of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, as well as a brand new story with the same setting and characters.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is coming to Switch 2 on October 22.

The Starter Edition of the game will include Mikey and Draken from the Tokyo Revengers anime as playable characters, as well as all previously released DLC fighters.

Metal Slug Ultimate Collection is coming to Switch and Switch 2 in 2027.

The retro compilation features 10 games, including Metal Slug 1-7, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug Advance and, for the first time ever, the original location test version of Metal Slug.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX is coming to Switch and Switch 2 on February 16. It’s a remaster of Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force 3 with modern visuals and enhanced duelling.

Romancing SaGa 3: Destinies United is also coming to Switch and Switch 2 on February 16. It’s a full 3D remake of the 1995 RPG with new voice acting and arranged music.

A partner spotlight ‘sizzle’ montage was shown, including Switch and Switch 2 footage of 007 First Light, Far Cry 3 Classic Edition, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Classic Edition, The Crew Motorfest, The Apothecary Diaries: The False Imperial Brother, House Flipper 2, Sonic Pico Park, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon, Hela: Of Mice & Magic, Ericksholm: The Stolen Dream, Stellar Blade: Complete Edition, The Ascent: Ultimate Edition, It Takes Two, Palia: Switch 2 Edition, Bluey’s Happy Snaps, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, Fading Echo, Hell is Us and Guardians of the Galaxy: Encore Edition.

Persona 4 Revival is coming to Switch 2 on May 20, 2027. A new trailer featuring the Switch 2 version was shown to mark this.

Another brief teaser for Persona 6 was shown, to remind us it’s still coming.

Finally, Nintendo announced Kirby and the World Beyond, a brand new 3D Kirby adventure coming to Switch 2 in Spring 2027.
