More cast members from The Legend of Zelda movie have been named in a new report.
According to Deadline‘s sources, the role of Ganondorf is played by Australian actor Uli Latukefu, best known as the actor who played the teenage and young adult versions of Dwayne Johnson in the TV series Young Rock.
Latukefu – who also starred in Marco Polo and played Hurut in the Black Adam movie – has reportedly signed a multi-picture deal, suggesting he will play Ganondorf in multiple live-action Zelda films.
Deadline then published a second report naming three more cast members, including Sam Neill, who passed away last month. The report couldn’t confirm which role he plays in the film.
The Zelda movie wrapped on filming in April, which means it could be the final screen performance from Neill, whose storied career in film included roles in Jurassic Park, Peaky Blinders, The Hunt for Red October, The Final Conflict and Event Horizon.
The publication also stated that Dichen Lachman (who plays Ms Casey in Severance) will play Zelda’s guardian and mentor Impa, while Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale) will also appear as “a queen character” (the report isn’t more specific than this).
Nintendo already confirmed that the movie will star Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda, who were shown in the first official photos from the film last year.

The film’s director is Wes Ball, who’s best known for directing The Maze Runner trilogy of movies and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.
Ball is joined by cinematographer Gyula Pados, who worked on two of the Maze Runner movies and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, as well as such titles as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Predators.
According to previous reports, The Legend of Zelda movie could be part of a planned trilogy. Movie industry insider Daniel Richtman previously claimed that all major acting roles were being signed for three films planned over six years, a claim given more weight by Deadline’s report that Latukefu has inked a multi-film deal to play Ganondorf.
The Legend of Zelda movie will be released on April 30, 2027.
