On February 22, 2026, Capcom uploaded a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, as well as a Developer walkthrough to help newcomers to the series get up to speed on the game’s story and gameplay.
The “Go Forth” trailer gives players a deeper glimpse into the game’s story while revealing a whole bunch of new monsters to hunt and tame as Monsties that can be controlled as party members in battle.
The trailer hints that the player will eventually uncover the source of the Encroachment while contending with shocking revelations and painful loss of family members along the way.
Over the course of the “Go Forth” trailer, we also get glimpses at several returning monsters from previous games and newcomers to the Monster Hunter Stories series that will be implemented as bosses to beat and potentially new Monsties to tame.
These monsters include Nibelsnarf, Shogun Ceanataur, Ajarakan, Barroth, Seregios, Ibushi, Narwa, and a mysterious egg that may contain an original monster exclusively for this game.
The wait for Monster Hunter Stories 3 is getting too much bear, I need to hunt now!
After many years, we finally have a crab monster as a rideable Monstie in the form of Shogun Cenataur. The story is looking even more intense, and seeing Narwa and Ibushi again as enemies to fight has me giddy with nostalgia for Monster Hunter Rise.
While it lacked the gruelling challenge of previous mainline games, Monster Hunter Rise more than made up for it with cool monsters, a slick and colorful art style, an excellent PC port that functioned at launch, and over-the-top arcadey gameplay that, in my opinion, is still vastly superior to Monster Hunter Wilds in terms of focus and execution.
In fact, I’m going to fire up Monster Hunter Rise right now and relive its glorious Sunbreak expansion to kill time before Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection arrives on March 13, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
