It’s Only A Slight Exaggeration
The Acer Predator Orion 7000 has everything you want, apart from two things. The liquid cooled Core Ultra 9 285K is an odd choice for a top of the line gaming system, but won’t really hold you back in any way, and the SSD is PCIe 4.0, which again won’t impact your gaming in any meaningful way. The back of the system also reveals some odd choices, like a single Thunderbolt 4/USB-C port, and a mere 2.5GbE Killer NIC ethernet connection.
All of these possible negatives are outweighed by the performance the RTX 5090 offers and the fact that while it comes with 64GB DDR5 you can double that to 128GB. After all, if you can find this beast for sale it will likely be around $10,000 so what’s another thousand for an upgrade.
While you probably won’t be able to find this particular model of Acer’s Predator Orion 7000 for sale, you can see it in action at TweakTown.
