Cancel out rising RAM costs with this PC build bundle deal

Building a PC these days is largely a lesson in frustration. Components like storage, RAM, and GPUs are likely either sold out entirely or suffering from inflated prices, and there’s no end in sight to the AI datacenter buildout at the center of the crisis. I don’t have an answer for the GPU dilemma, but I can get you a CPU, motherboard, and RAM bundle that effectively cancels out any additional memory costs.

This bundle with an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU, MSI PRO B850-S WiFi 6E motherboard, and 16B of T-Force DDR5-6000 RGB RAM is now down to $439.99 from the usual $599.97 at Newegg, a total savings of $159.98. Better yet, Newegg is throwing in an AiO liquid cooler for free.

With RAMageddon raging on and some PC components seemingly getting more expensive every day, buying a bundle like this one at Newegg is the new best way to put together a desktop PC.

While this bundle doesn’t include a GPU, it’s a great way to kickstart your next gaming PC without overspending. Let me break down the components.

The AMD Ryzen 5 9600X is a CPU we reviewed favorably, with Windows Central Senior Editor Ben Wilson calling it “the perfect entry point into AM5 socket motherboards and AMD’s Zen 5 architecture.” It can almost match the mighty Ryzen 7 7800X3D chip, and unless you’re going for an all-out PC build, it should serve you very well.

MSI’s PRO B850-S WIFI 6E motherboard has a clean, streamlined aesthetic, with a 12+2+1 duet rail power setup and decent cooling for MOSFETS and M.2 storage. The board supports 2.5Gb Ethernet, but it also has Wi-Fi 6E for a smooth wireless experience.

The pièce de résistance here is the Team Group T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 RAM in two 8GB sticks. It’s CL38 RAM (38-38-38-78 timings) and runs at DDR5-6000MT/s for excellent performance. This RAM kit costs $250 on its own when it isn’t bundled.

And, as mentioned, you won’t have to worry about cooling the CPU; Newegg adds a free Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240mm AiO liquid cooler into the mix, which itself usually costs $85.
