During the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony, Blizzard Entertainment’s popular hero shooter, Overwatch, received a new cinematic trailer for a new playable hero called Doctrine.
Doctrine is a Support-type hero that glides through the battlefield using vampiric powers to destroy enemies and support allies by healing them with robot drones shaped like bats.
In addition to Doctrine, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Overwatch Season 5 will begin on October 6, 2026.
It will feature: a rework of Sombra into a Support-type Hero, a rework of Roadhog’s toolkit so it’s not a nightmare for enemy players to deal with, a new Watchpoint: Grimsvotn map set in Iceland to battle in, the return of Dokiwatch, and so much more.
