Hooded Horse Is On A Roll
If you have been looking for games that aren’t part of the AAA group of developers, either because of the quality of the games lately or perhaps in solidarity for the numerous people that referenced in several links below the fold, you have probably run into Hooded Horse. From well known fantasy series they’ve taken over like Endless Legends 2, and Heroes of Might and Magic to city builders like Manor Lords and Against The Storm they cover a lot of strategic ground. They’ve also grabbed Xenonauts and created the ridiculously good Terra Invicta for those that want to learn about Delta-v and specific impulse.
The also specialize in space games like the insanely complex Nebulous Fleet Command and Capital Command. They are extending that collection, and one of them has Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN reminiscing about the days of old. C-Beams doesn’t really have anything to do with Rutger Hauer but it is a great name!
C-Beams is a 2.5D space game which boasts realistic space ship handling; newtonian physics are a harsh mistress. Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN has a link to the trailer, with no release date specified apart from soon. Check it out here.
